In a chat last week I had Ableton Live and Traktor sync’d up, worked great. Traktor’s virtual MIDI input and output made it easier that I though it would be.

Just posted a new blog post, I wired an old car speaker to a 1/4inch cable, plugged it into my audio interface and hit it with drumsticks, some great sounds. Could be good for electronic kick drums, they sure move the woofers. Pitched up in a sampler could be cool too. You can download the live pack with a bunch of hits in a Live drum rack here:

Just got an APC20, next to my APC40 that is a total of 18 track faders and 90 clip launch buttons. Should be enough for now :)

Did a pad control shootout, Akai vs Maschine. Maschine wins, better feel, more responsive. With the Akai you need to be dead center of the pad. Maschine responds anywhere on the pad.
