About Me

Hello! I’m Ronnie Lanzilotta and I’m attending Berklee College of Music and loving every bit of it. I’ve been playing Bass (acoustic and electric) for 13 out of the 20 years of my life. My musical focus is constantly shifting between different styles and genres, including Hip-Hop, Nu Jazz, Indie Rock, Modern Classical, and anything that you can find in between. Sorry to fall in with the rest of the masses at Berklee with the utterance of one simple, but honest phrase: “I listen to everything”… but hey, it’s true.

I play in several bands and believe wholeheartedly in the institution of shameless self-promotion. My bands include Alternative Hip Hop act, Poofy and the Busboys (!/po...), Hard Rock band Noize Tank (!/no...), as well as with gypsy-funk outfit, Evolfo Doofeht (

A defining characteristic of my personality is my drive to be productive. I hate the feeling of wasting my time and I try and constantly engage myself in projects or anything that can help me network. Here at Berklee, I split my time after classes between two bands, rehearsing four nights a week. Nearly every weekend, I travel to New York to gig/record/promote a band that I have been in for about five years now, Poofy and the Busboys. Because of careful time management, I am able to keep my grades up and remain active in other ways on and off campus as well.

Experience & Education

  • Real Estate Agent for New Wave Boston Realty
February 2012 to Present (about 8 years)

I've recently been licensed to sell and rent real estate in the state of MA. Working under New Wave's Student Housing Ambassador Division, I focus on helping fellow students find housing that they can afford which accommodates their needs as musicians.

  • Usher for Boston Symphony Orchestra
    September 2011 to February 2011 (7 months)

Working at Symphony Hall was such a treat, not only because the nature of the work, but because of the relevance to my major at school. The people that I worked for were extremely relaxed, making for a low stress job. Hearing world class performances regularly at the work place didn't hurt either!

  • MA Salesperson's License in Real Estate at The Lee Institute
