About Me

Canada’s own drummer/percussionist Jack Litster loves music. Originally from Ontario, he spent some formative years in Nova Scotia where he performed regularly with the funk ensemble Funkasaurus, the jazz quartet Peanut Butter and Huckleberry Jam Sandwich, and singer-songwriter Tom Curry. Jack has also worked as a showband drummer for Carnival Cruise Lines in the Caribbean Sea.

Jack holds a Diploma in Jazz Studies (Music Performance) from St. Francis Xavier University, and a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa.

Jack currently lives in Ontario, where he plays drums on several singer-songwriter projects, teaches drumkit at the Nepean School of Music in Ottawa, and records and performs with groups including the Litster Marshall Rhythm Experience and The Ticket. Jack is the author of a drumkit method book entitled Integrated Drumkit, published in 2010 by Lulu Press. Always interested in learning and expanding his music, Jack is currently working on singing, songwriting, and is studying music business at Berklee online.
