About Me

My journey in music started when I was 13. My main interest in music then was like other teenagers to play "Deep Purple, Led Zepplin, Cream and Jimi Hendrix tunes.

However at the age of 15 after hearing George Benson’s version of “This Masquerade” I got switched on to jazz guitar and started buying albums by George Benson, Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall, Tal Farlow, Miles Davies, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Pat Metheny Group, Pat Martino, John Scofield, Mike Stern, Larry Carlton and other jazz greats.

At 17, I started formal studies in jazz guitar at a local private music school. Since the early 90s I kept honing my compositional skills and in 1998 I released a CD of original modern jazz music featuring some of Melbourne’s finest improvisors. A personal highlight for me was to find out that my music had been played on the australian ABC radio national program which is transmitted Australia wide.

In 2002 I started working in the cruise industry as a Showband / Solo Guitarist and got to travel around the globe. During these contracts I would continue to hone my compositional skills.

Currently I write music on my iMac, using Logic Pro 9 and utilize live performance to augment my recordings.
