About Me

I think that Music is a very unique platform in that it may be the only thing in the world, other than food, that everybody likes. Music is universal, and has an impact on people’s lives whether it’s consciously or subconsciously. So as a musician, if you have something to say, there are people out there willing to hear it and who will be affected by it. Knowing this keeps me inspired and motivated to continue creating and playing music that will influence people on some level.

I enjoy listening and playing a wide variety of music, and I believe that comes through when I write music. I think every artist is a product of what they listen to, so if you don’t listen to and understand different types of music, then your writing will be very one dimensional. Specifically, I am very inspired by singer-songwriters, particularly piano players. Billy Joel and Phil Vassar are two guys who I have admired ever since I first heard their music.

When I write and play music, there is no singular message I try to convey. Music can mean different things to different people. My interpretation of a piece of music could be a different interpretation than someone else’s.

In the future, I hope to continue writing music and working with other artists who enjoy writing as well. Although I’ve had some experience, learning how to mix and produce music is also something I’m very interested in.
