Hello, my name is Ervin.I was born in Tajikistan (former soviet republic), a civil war torn country in Central Asia. I started playing saxophone with my father. He had some records with jazz music, and when I first time listened to it, I immediately fell in love with jazz. I asked my father to teach me how to play jazz. That was how I started.
Several years after we moved to Russia, and I started studying at the Moscow Government Jazz College. It is the best Russian jazz college. I am graduated from this college with a Red Diploma (its mean excellent grades) and also we have a tradition to give a special prize to students ending college showing big promise. That mean teacher think that student has a really big future as a musician. I won this prize my last year.
Now I am a full-time student at Berklee College of Music, and I am happy to study here. I appreciate the opportunity to get knowledge from great professors and, furthermore, I enjoy being involved in the constant exchange of experience with my talented classmates.
