About Me

Nikole Luebbe loves a challenge. Being the third child of five she learned at an early age you have to make the most of what you’ve got; whether that means wearing clothes that once belonged to your big sister or sharing a room with your bed-wetting little sister! She grew up with her Mother and Step Father in Flagstaff, Arizona (a small alpine town 45 minutes from the grand canyon). She spent her summers in Omaha, Nebraska with her Father, Mark Luebbe a Jazz Bass Player. At the age of sixteen she decided it was time to get the ball rolling on her musical career, she had been singing in regional choirs and playing cello in regional orchestras for too long! She decided to apply for Interlochen Arts Academy where she was accepted as a vocal principle, graduated high school and set out for the next big adventure. While Interlochen’s strictly classical education was extremely helpful and inspiring Nikole found herself longing to engage in other musical conversations. With that being established Nikole applied to the contemporary music school of them all Berklee College of Music and started as a full time student in the fall of 2010.

Nikole Luebbe loves to perform. During her first six semesters at Berklee she found herself singing in over 8 different performances groups ranging from musical theatre performance groups to pop bands to classical choirs. In the past three years she has performed in the Berklee Performance Center over six times, she has also performed in many other venues such as Boston Symphony Hall, The Lilly Pad, The Middle East Downstairs, Foxwoods, The Red Room, Harvard Square, and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. Despite enjoying every second of each of these performances she finds that she is most proud to have met and worked with so many talented musicians.

Nikole Luebbe loves to help others achieve goals. She has recently started to try her hand at teaching private voice lessons, and she has found it to be very fulfilling! In the past three years she has taught in various age groups from 3rd graders to 30 year olds and has fallen in love with that look in someone’s eye when they have just “FIGURED IT OUT!” She is very thankful for her Student Employment position as a Vocal Instructor/Mentor at the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester for allowing her to pursue this passion. Her vocal journey began at age nine when she joined her first choir; eleven years later she finds she has acquired the tools and knowledge to help people reach the euphoric feeling of singing the song in your heart. A special thanks to Sharon Brown is in order for teaching the Vocal Pedagogy Class here at Berklee and enabling students with the correct vocabulary to teach and lead other vocalists. Nikole feels strongly that if a human being is looking to express themselves in the clearest most untainted way then they will sing, she also believes the best way to do so is with a strong vocal foundation and technique.

Nikole Luebbe loves to succeed. Her affinity for helping people combined with her incessant love of music has lead Nikole to choose the path of Music Business and Management with a minor in Choral Conducting. Nikole was recently elected as the President to the Berklee Student Government Association in this position she hopes to strengthen the community at Berklee by improving communications between students and faculty. In the future she will hopefully be able to use her organizational and communicative skills to help artist be perceived in positive light for all that they can be. She knows how many hours of dedication it takes to become a seasoned performer and she is ready to match that level of dedication into ensuring a career in what you love. Every artist is worth the time the have spent focusing on their craft and it is important they receive due recognition!
