Marina Vinogradova is a Russian born vocalist, songwriter, arranger and vocal coach. She started her musical journey playing the classical piano, cause she comes from the family of classical musicians. As she grew older, Marina’s interests started turning towards jazz and she continued her education in Moscow College of Improvised Music where she learned a lot of improve techniques and scat. After graduating she stayed there as a vocal coach and worked there for 5 years.
Marina also worked as a solo and back vocalist and had gigs in many Russian towns and cities (Moscow, Saratov, Yaroslavl, Samara, Saint Petersburg). She took part in many Jazz Festivals (Yaroslavl Jazz Festival, Moscow “Usad’ba Jazz” Festival, Django Reinhardt Festival). She also had gigs in Sardinia, Italy where she took Part in the Festival named “Music and Cinema of Russia in 1930-50s”. In 2010 she had gigs in France and Israel.
Marina’s vocal repertoire includes jazz and blues standards, funk songs, gospels, Russian folk songs, Jewish folk songs in Hebrew and Jiddish, French Chanson and some songs in Italian, German, Polish and Portuguese.
Back in Russia Marina sang in two a cappella groups and also wrote some arrangements for them.
In year 2014 Marina moved to United States and attended Berklee College of Music for Performance and Jazz Composition whilst actively performing in the Boston area.
Marina also passed her internship on the MSC Divina Cruise Ship. She worked there as a Singer, Piano Player and Band Leader.
