About Me

Well how-do y’all. My name’s Matt and I graduated from this fine institution in 1995 with a BA in Music with an emphasis on jazz drumset performance. I have made my living as a musician since then as a performer, arranger, and percussion educator. I am currently living in Palm Desert, CA and have a beautiful baby daughter. My interests outside of music are travel, books, film, golf and all things Macintosh. I am influenced by Art Blakey, Max Roach, Tony Willams, Bill Evans, Beethoven, Slayer, Schwantner, Reich, Radiohead, Johnny Cash, The Clash, and Spinal Tap. If we went to school together, drop me a line and tell me how you’ve been. Peace.
