About Me

I’m a graduate of Sonoma State University and hold a Certificate in Electronic Music Production from Berklee College of Music. I am a member of the Vic Firth Private Drum Teachers Program and have taught privately for over ten years. I write music for film and television productions and work as a free-lance musician and collaborator. I’m currently performing with The Careless Hunters and the Jr. Hill Band in the South Puget Sound area.

  • Music Production for Teens Instructor for Boys and Girls Club
    March 2012 to Present (about 8 years)

    Providing hands-on learning opportunities for teens at the Henry T. Schatz Branch in South Tacoma. We use Studio One Artist and the unbridaled creativity of T-Town's Teens.

  • Drum Line Pit Instructor for Eruption Percussion
    March 2012 to Present (about 8 years)

    Peninsula School District just got a little louder with the founding of Eruption Percussion, the first-ever DCI-style drum line to incorporate custom samples and live sound reinforcement to the bedazzlement of Gig Harbor and Bremerton/Kitsap residents.

  • Sound Technician for TUUC
    January 2009 to Present (over 11 years)

    Provide live sound reinforcement support for the Tahoma Unitarian Universalist Congregation (TUUC) services in Tacoma, Washington: TUUC is a religious fellowship consisting of about 200 members serving the Greater Tacoma area.

  • Private Instructor for Federal Way School of Music
    January 2006 to Present (over 14 years)

    Federal Way School of Music was Founded by Steve Lynch, the former guitarist for Autograph. We teach students of all ages and abilities the fundamentals of music theory and showcase student performances regularly at Browns Point Pizzeria in Tacoma, Washington.


  • Private Instructor for McLain Music
    November 2004 to May 2010 (over 5 years)

    McLain Music is located in Gig Harbor, Washington, in the Olympic Village Shopping Center. They provide band instrument rentals, equipment repair and sales.

  • Master Control Technician, Systems Analyst for City of Tacoma / Tacoma Public Utilities
    December 1999 to January 2003 (over 3 years)

    Cable TV operator and programmer for locally-produced municipal television. Computer analyst for the Business Systems Improvement Project, responsible for writing SAP applications for Device Management and utility consumption.

  • Production Coordinator for Petaluma Community Access Television
    September 1996 to December 1999 (over 3 years)

    Managed day-to-day operations of the public-access television station in Petaluma, CA. Prepared curriculum and taught group production classes for the general public for three years. Supervised and trained interns, staff and volunteers. Responsible for equipment inventory, check out and repairs.
