About Me

A musician born and raised in Syracuse, NY in a musical family, Daniel has been playing piano since the age of 5, and has been performing since the age of 7. His first performances were annual piano recitals showcasing his private teacher’s students’ ability in classical music and other forms of contemporary notated music. By the age of 13, Daniel started playing Jazz and soon after auditioned for the Stan Colella All-Star Youth Big Band of the City of Syracuse. This band performed at the Syracuse Jazz Festival, and the OCC Jazz Festival in which Daniel received several awards for his outstanding musicianship and ability as a soloist. Daniel attended Christian Brothers Academy of Syracuse, and was there awarded the Sarah Lombardi Award for Musical Excellence, and upon graduation was given the Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence by the Marine Corps. Prior to graduating high school, he completed 32 hours volunteering at elderly homes playing duo or trio jazz. Since attending Berklee, Daniel has performed at the BPC, written original compositions and performed them at the Syracuse Jazz & Wine Fest, performed weekly at a local jazz club, and has performed at private events in the Boston area. Daniel plans on composing and performing his and other musicians’ works and teaching after graduating from Berklee.
