About Me

Sam Whiting is an accomplished British composer with a broad interest in music and sound:
His expertise includes writing music for symphonic orchestras all the way through to rock, pop & electronic genres, as well as world music.
Sam is also heavily involved in live music – He currently plays in top venues all over the UK & Europe as a session guitarist specialising in rock, jazz & fusion.

Sam’s versatility carries over into sound design too – Using the latest gear and know-how to create soundscapes and effects for animated films or cartoons.
Sam is a long time member of the MU (Musicians Union).

Session Musician & Composer for Self Employed

February 2005 to Present (over 8 years)

I have live experience as a session musician spanning the last 5 years and have completed several tours with various bands, including original work and function work. I performed at the London guitar show 3 years in a row, and to date have completed composition and arrangement on two projects.
